Spring 2013 Registration


Registration is over and teams have been formed.  Late Registration (increased fees) will remain open, but late registrants will be placed on a waiting list for their appropriate Division and will only be placed on a team if a roster spot opens up.  The Registration Tab can be found at the top of the FNLL Web Site.

THANK YOU Preston Pipelines and Neff Rentals for renovating Sheldon Park Baseball Field with their very generous donations of materials and equipment rentals in excess of $6,000.  An additional Thank You to Justin Clark and Matt Perrin of Sacramento State for providing their expert field service to the project.  Special Thanks to Shawn Hammond (FNLL Coach Development Officer), Steve Tebbs (FNLL Player Agent), Mikael Anderson (FNLL President), and Jim Melrose (FNLL Snack Bar Manager) for volunteering their labor on the field work.

2 FNLL Coaches and 4 FNLL Players Heading to Orlando this summer for the USSSA 9U Elite World Series

Over President's Day Weekend in Mateca, 4 year FNLL Managers John Alkire and Jason Dewall led their Hard 90 Hustle Premier 9U Travel Team to Victory in the USSSA Super NIT Regional Championship, qualifying them for a spot to play this August in the USSSA Elite 9U World Series at the Wide World of Sports Complex in Walt Disney World (spring training home of the Atlanta Braves).

4 FNLL Players, Johnny Alkire, Tyson Dewall, Connor Bizjack and Braden Kosciuk, had a big impact on the team's success against very tough competetion in the three day tournmanet.  The four FNLL boys combined to go 24-47 (.510 average) and Johnny Alkire was named to the All-Tournament Team with three solid pitching performances and also going 11 for 19 at the plate with 7 RBIs and his first career travel ball home run.

These 4 boys had an amazing journey with their team this season achieving an impressive 41-16 overall record with 6 tournament championship titles.  As a result, they are now ranked 16th in the nation and 4th in California in the USSSA AAA Division (over 450 teams qualified across the nation to receive a ranking, many more did not).

FNLL is excited to have these high quality coaches and players in our league, and we wish them the best of luck this summer in Orlando on their quest to become national champions.
