Practice Schedules
They are out! The final schedules have been sent to the division reps and are being distributed. Managers are free to adjust the schedules with the other teams to make times more convenient if desired. So please get your team practice schedule from your manager. Don't look for the master league practice schedule, as it may be incorrect if the teams start trading days.
Field Conditions
The fields have been overseeded as part of the regular program to get them ready for spring. If you've been out there, you've seen they are very full and very green. They're also very long. In addition, the dirt may have some weeds starting to pop through. The city will do what they can to make them ready for next week, but they are stretched very thin and the fields are going to be very wet. What I'm leading up to is that we should be putting together some work parties to fix up the fields next week. Other leagues are doing it in cooperation with the city maintenance crews. I'm sure you'll appreciate playing on the fields much more if we can fix them up for the initial season start. More to follow.
Can you still register?
Players age 5-8 can almost always be placed on a team at this point. Teams have already been formed, but should have room for an additional player. Players 9-12 play in the AA, AAA, and Major divisions. These teams are formed by draft and have exactly 12 players each. The teams have already been drafted, so new players in this age will be placed on a waiting list. If a team loses a player to injury or other circumstance, a waitlisted player should be able to make a team based upon our local draft rules. Players 13-18 are always welcome into our Junior, Senior, and Big league program. Last day to register late for 12 and under is March 24th. Junior/Senior/Big league players may register at anytime.
